UK Charts: No new releases as PS4 dominates
God of War is back at the top
God of War was the best selling physical game in the UK last week.
The UK charts currently lack digital data, so the release of certain downloadable titles during E3 are absent from the charts (although Fortnite on Switch, which was downloaded two million times in 24 hours, would not have counted as it was a free game).
There was, however, a wide-reaching PS4 sale - which has already had a very positive impact upon this week's EMEA chart.
The 'Days of Play' promotion saw discounts for games such as God of War, which rises two places and reclaims the No.1 spot. PlayStation VR Worlds also benefits, rising 48% in sales and reaching No.5.
Other games that were bundled or benefitted from the promotion included Fallout 4, which rises 22% in sales and is at No.3, while Assassin's Creed Origins at No.9 (up 61%) and Call of Duty: WWII at No.10 (up 130%) also enjoyed a strong sales week.
Last week's No.1, Vampyr, drops 70% in sales and falls to No.8.
There were no new games in the Top 40 this week.
