UK Charts: FIFA 06 holds the lead for a third week
There's very little change at the higher end of the all formats chart this week, as EA continues its phenomenal reign over the games industry unabated. FIFA 06 leads the way with its third week at number one.
There's very little change at the top of the UK all formats chart this week as EA continues its reign over the top three unabated, with FIFA 06 leading the ranking and clocking up a third week at number one.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 maintains second place, Burnout Revenge drops two to five, and PC game Black and White 2 sits patiently at number six, no doubt biding its time before climbing the ranks to join its EA friends.
Proving the effectiveness of a high budget for television advertising, SEGA's Spartan: Total Warrior climbs five places from eight to three this week, but Ubisoft can lay claim to the highest climber as Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood leaps nine places from sixteen to seven.
Activision's Ultimate Spiderman debuts at a respectable fourth position, and the company's super-hero selection continues with X-Men: Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse beginning its chart career at number eleven.
Following the cinematic debut of Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-rabbit, Konami should anticipate a jump from the videogame's chart debut at number 15 and sales this week for Pro Evolution Soccer 5 could make a dramatic difference to the chart line-up next week.
Other new releases this week to watch out for include SEGA's Football Manager 2006, Vivendi's PC FPS, F.E.A.R. and, of course, SSX On Tour from the seemingly unstoppable EA.
