UK Charts: Activision's Madagascar takes the top spot

Activision's movie licensed title Madagascar has jumped five places this week to take the number one spot in the UK charts, knocking THQ's Juiced down to number three, while another THQ title, Destroy All Humans, holds on at number two.

Madagascar isn't the only top ten title for Activision this week, though, with another movie licensed game, Fantastic Four, becoming the week's highest new entry with a number eight debut.

Only one other new entry makes it into the chart this week, with Capcom's highly stylised PS2 and GameCube action title Killer 7 debuting at number 15, and topping the GameCube-only chart.

In fact, there's little or no movement in the chart - especially in the top ten, where aside from Madagascar's leap to number one, there's only minor shuffling in the ranking.

Sony's God of War, in particular, has a slightly disappointing second week, managing only to hold on to the number five position in which it debuted - a far weaker performance than it managed across the Atlantic.

Next week's biggest title is, once again, a movie tie-in, with Take Two launching the requisite videogame to accompany the arrival of Johnny Depp vehicle Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in cinemas.

Also on the shelves will be Codemasters' response to EA's Cricket 2005, Brian Lara International Cricket, and another Take Two title - this time under the 2K Games label - the Xbox version of Sid Meier's Pirates!.
