Ubisoft Announces Lineup for Games Convention 2006 Leipzig
Düsseldorf/Leipzig, Germany - August 9, 2006 - Today, Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced its participation in Games Convention, taking place in Leipzig from August 23 to 27, 2006. Ubisoft will be present in Halle 3, Stand B02. Additionally, Ubisoft welcomes retail and press partners in the business centre in Halle 2, Stand D12 on August 23 and August 26. The Ubisoft press conference will be held at 12 p.m. on August 23 in the press conference hall of the fair.
Showcasing various worldwide, Germany-wide and Europe-wide premieres, Ubisoft's Games Convention lineup is as follows:
DARK MESSIAH OF MIGHT & MAGIC® (first-person action, playable on Windows, releases in fall 2006); TOM CLANCY'S SPLINTER CELL DOUBLE AGENT (stealth action, playable in single-player and multiplayer mode on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, releases in fall 2006); CALL OF JUAREZ (Western shooter, playable on Windows, releases early September 2006); THE SETTLERS® II - THE NEXT GENERATION (construction-based strategy game, playable on Windows, releases beginning of September 2006); THE SETTLERS® (construction-based strategy game, playable on Nintendo DS, release in fall 2006); Horsez - (riding adventure, playable on Windows, releases end of 2006); and Open SEASON (action adventure, playable on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, releases beginning of November 2006).Among the many attractions on the Ubisoft stage will be members of Ubisoft's international development team giving insight into the creation process and speaking about upcoming projects, as well as showing playable games.
As a special preview, convention-goers can try the multiplayer version of DARK MESSIAH OF MIGHT & MAGIC at the Netzstatt Gaming League booth in Halle 5. The innovative Crusade multiplayer mode of DARK MESSIAH OF MIGHT & MAGIC will be presented on 18 PCs. Visitors will be thrust into the world of Might & Magic during daily presentations and throughout the Netzstatt Gaming League booth. Call of Juarez will also be playable at the booth on eight PCs in multiplayer mode.
THE SETTLERS® II - THE NEXT GENERATION and Horsez will be presented in the "GC Family" area of the convention.
