Two Point Hospital and PES 2019 dominate EMEAA charts
And Modern Warfare 2 returns to the charts
The latest GSD charts for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia, and it's good news for a hospital simulator and a nine year-old first person shooter.
For the week ending September 2nd, Two Point Hospital was the most downloaded game across 43 different countries (full list below). It held off competition from, impressively, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The nine year-old game returns to the download charts after being made backwards compatible on Xbox One.
The biggest selling boxed retail game of the week was Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, which knocked F1 2018 down to No.2.
In terms of the combined digital and physical chart, the sheer number of platforms that PES 2019 is on means that the game was the No.1 title, keeping Two Point Hospital off the top spot (which was only available as a PC download).
There were other new games in the charts, most notably Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate on Switch, which came in at No.3 in the physical retail charts. Also in the physical retail charts was Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker at No.7. As Nintendo doesn't allow the sharing of digital data, Monster Hunter Generations doesn't appear in the digital charts but Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker does, and as a result the Bandai Namco game charts a place higher (No.5) in the combined chart.
Also new in the combined chart is Yakuza Kiwami 2 at No.18, Firewall Zero Hour at No.36 and Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition at No..40.
Next week will see the Spider-Man sales numbers impact the chart, so expect a different No.1 once again.
