Twitch hires new head of diversity and inclusion
Streaming giant also adds CFO and Chief Human Resources Officer
Video game streaming giant Twitch has added a new role at the company dedicated to diversity and inclusion.
Katrina Jones will head up the position. She joins from Vimeo where she held a similar role and where she created the company's diversity strategy to "disrupt bias and foster a more inclusive workplace". Jones also worked as global inclusion and diversity lead at Accenture.
Elsewhere, Twitch has also announced that Michelle Weaver has joined the company as Chief Financial Offier, and Sudarshana Rangachary as Chief Human Resources Officer.
Weaver joins with 25 years experience in various financial and operational executive roles, including stints as Hired, StitchFix, Axiom, Gap, Inc. and Electronic Arts. She joins Twitch following two years at Hired, a talent platform where she tripled recurring revenue. She also worked at EA as CFO for the publisher's $2 billion North American publishing and online business. She replaces former Twitch CFO John Sutton and will report to COO Sara Clemens.
Meanwhile, Rangachary has 20 years of global experience in Human Resources. She was most recently VP of Human Resources at Gap, Inc. Sudarshana spent over 12 years at Avery Dennison in various technology and industrial companies. She will also report to Clemens.
"I'm thrilled to welcome these new executives to Twitch," said Twitch COO Sara Clemens. "Their collective expertise scaling global businesses and building engaged, high-performing teams will help ensure we can continue to deliver the best experience in multiplayer entertainment to our growing, global community."
