TV exec joins EA's board of directors
Geraldine Laybourne, founder of Oxygen Media, to be "invaluable" as the publisher creates products for "new audiences"
Electronic Arts has announced that Geraldine Laybourne has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors.
Laybourne is the founder of the young women-focused televeision network, Oxygen Media, and served as president of Disney/ABC Cable Networks. Prior to this, Laybourne served 16 years at Nickelodeon, managing the television network.
"Gerry has an impressive background leading teams to conceptualise and launch revolutionary new entertainment properties," commented EA CEO John Riccitiello. "Her experience with successful global media properties will be invaluable to EA's board as our company continues to create products for new audiences."
