Turtle Beach partners with Twitch

Competitive gaming meets audio equipment

Gaming headset titan Turtle Beach has joined forces with video platform Twitch to become its official audio partner, providing kit for its eSports events.

"We're excited to partner with Twitch and provide them with our advanced tournament and broadcast products for their eSports and gaming events," said Turtle Beach CMO Bob Picunko.

The partnership is a strong one for Turtle Beach, it'll enjoy the exposure to Twitch's 34 million strong audience who, according to the gaming site, spend on average 90 minutes a day watching videos and interacting with other games on the service.

"We're proud to have them as our official audio partner," added Twitch CEO Emmett Shear.

"With the innovative features available in Turtle Beach's audio gear, anyone in the Twitch community will be able to easily broadcast their games and audio commentary with professional quality results."

Turtle Beach has also partnered with Activision in the past, creating limited edition Call Of Duty: Black Ops II headsets and UK retailer Currys PC World to create a Gaming Bunker stocked with its audio products. It's also sponsored a number of professional gaming teams.
