Turok
Let the dinosaurs die out
London, February 5th, 2008: A videogames giant of the small screen returns this month with the release of Turok on mobile phones from Living Mobile. In a cross-platform joint venture with Disney Interactive Studios, Turok will also be released this month for the next-generation consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3, and also the PC.
In the mobile version of the game, Turok has to fight his way through the jungle covering a foreign planet. Ten carefully designed levels with multiple routes and secret areas - and including the iconic giant T Rex - ensure that the game offers great replay value.
Turok is an epic, story-driven platform game set on a dark, mysterious planet in the future. The player will take on the role of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando, now part of an elite special forces squad, known as Whiskey Company, which is on a mission to take down Roland Kane and his army, the Mendel-Gruman Corporation. As Whiskey Company's ship approaches the planet inhabited by Mendel-Gruman, the ship is shot down. Turok is stranded on the planet and must locate other crash survivors while confronting Mendel-Gruman soldiers and a variety of dinosaurs and other ravenous creatures.
In Turok, the player can use the gameplay style of their choice. By careful selection of weapons, or using stealth rather than a more belligerent approach, you can vary your tactics to complete each level.
Additional features in the mobile version of Turok include an integrated community portal where you can upload and publish your high scores, obtain tips and tricks and wallpapers or to take part in free competitions.
