Trion appoints trio of execs
Christopher Yates, Lisa Bell-Cabrera and Ricardo Sanchez join MMO company
MMO developer and publisher Trion Worlds has announced a trio of new executives to its top-level team in the form of Christopher Yates, Lisa Bell-Cabrera and Ricardo Sanchez.
Yates joins as senior VP of platform and technology, and previously worked in a similar capacity at Sony, where he led development and operation on the company's PlayStation Network infrastructure. Prior to that he was CTO of Electronic Arts and held senior roles at Virgin Interactive and Westwood Studios.
Cabrera-Bell arrives at Trion from NCsoft, where she was VP of sales, and she takes up the same role now. She previously held senior positions at Go Daddy and Atari.
Meanwhile Sanchez has been appointed as VP of digital, bringing experience as a co-founder of IGN Entertainment and, more recently, VP of content for GameTap.com.
"As we prepare to launch the first of three premium games we looked to expand our executive team with industry experts that will help Trion lead the next era of interactive entertainment," said Lars Buttler, CEO of Trion Worlds.
The company is currently in the process of creating three products, with the first - Rift: Planes of Telara - dues next year.
