Nanobot-battling triangle game updated and snipped to 240 Microsoft Points.
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., September 27, 2009 -- TrinoTeam, an independent game developer, today announced an update to Trino is now available on Xbox Live Indie Games. The update brings a special 40% price reduction to 240 Microsoft Points. New features include up to 9 playable levels in trial mode, more responsive saving, general bug fixes, and the original 3 chapters broken into 48 levels with 3 bosses and over 20 enemies.
Trino was first released on Xbox Indie Games on May 10, 2009. In Trino, players take control of an evolving alien, that must escape the NANITES, an insidious nano-robot swarm, which imprisoned Trino for his powers. Trino features a unique triangle trapping mechanic which players must use to evade and ensnare over 20 different enemies across over 45 levels and 3 bosses levels spanning 3 chapters.
Trino was part of the 2009 Penny Arcade Expo PAX 10 and placed in the top 20 finalists of Microsoft's Dream Build Play 2008 contest. The team has been interviewed in Official Xbox Magazine (OXM Feburary 2009 issue), Gamasutra, and Game Career Guide, and a number of indie games news blogs. IGN mentioned Trino in an article called "5 Community Games to Watch" and an alpha version of Trino was briefly listed in "Most Popular Downloads" on Gamespot for 2 weeks in December 2008.
