Trine

Trine, a unique and absorbing fantasy action game from Frozenbyte, which challenges players to battle with the forces of space, energy and motion in a magical kingdom, is released to retail today on PC by Nobilis and Ascaron Entertainment.

At the heart of Trine lie the main protagonists: Amadeus the Wizard; Pontius the Warrior; and Zoya the Thief. As the game begins, Zoya’s desire to be rich leads her to a castle where she tries to steal a mysterious object called the Trine. Here she meets Amadeus and Pontius and once they touch the Trine their souls are bound to it. Players must now guide the characters through 16 different levels featuring hazardous physics-based puzzles on a quest to save the kingdom from evil.

Trine features a co-operative multiplayer mode in which up to three people can participate. The gameplay is ideal for the multiplayer option as players can use one character each, utilising their individual powers to create, destroy and interact with the world in order to invent new solutions to puzzles and find novel ways to defeat enemies.

Gamers can employ the magical levitation skills of Amadeus to turn a wooden door into a magic carpet, defying gravity and floating high above vast ravines. Zoya’s grappling hook and rope can be utilised to swing across large gaps and navigate between the tree tops of the dark, dense forest, whilst Pontius’ devastating power can be used to clear blocked pathways and obliterate enemies.
