Peak 10 to attend next week's gathering.
RALEIGH, N.C. (April 1, 2010) - Peak 10 Inc., a managed services company with world-class data centers, is pleased to announce its participation in the 2010 Triangle Game Conference (TGC) to be held April 7-8 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center. TGC is the leading East Coast event for developers and professionals working in the interactive entertainment and serious game industries.
Peak 10 will be hosting a panel entitled “The Benefits of Outsourcing and Middleware.” This session will take place on April 7 as part of the Engines and Middleware track. Greg Rollet, Peak 10’s senior vice president of market operations, will serve as moderator, prompting questions for the panel of gaming industry representatives. Panelists include Stephanie O'Malley Deming, the co-founder and president of XLOC; Wayne Harvey, the vice president and chief technology officer of Vicious Cycle Software, Inc.; Shaun Kime, technical director at Emergent Game Technologies, Markus Schneider, executive vice president of Germany-based xaitment GmbH; and John Farnsworth, the director of shared development at Epic Games.
“Having worked with computer and video game companies across the country regarding their IT challenges and solutions, I look forward to gaining the perspective of these esteemed panelists on the advantages of outsourcing and utilizing middleware,” said Rollet. “Peak 10 delivers redundant environments to a wide variety of companies and truly understands the value and benefit of outsourcing such needs to a trusted partner. With increased financial pressures because of the economy and the inherent performance requirements, this topic is more relevant than ever to computer and video game companies around the globe.”

TGC offers a series of lectures by industry experts, a career lounge and Game Development University – a student-oriented exhibition to help aspiring game developers tap into educational resources and make connections with industry leaders.
“Peak 10 is excited to play an integral role at this year’s TGC and support the Triangle’s ever-expanding computer and video game community, which is a strong, vital part of our local economy,” said Marilyn Finfrock, the vice president and general manager of Peak 10 Raleigh. “We are pleased to provide a growing number of regional companies with high-performance, scalable, secure and geographically diverse IT solutions to support their businesses.”
