Titan Attacks blasts off with Independent Game of the Month Award
April 25, 2006 - Titan Attacks the latest
modern-retro masterpiece by Puppy Games (www.puppygames.net) was just awarded the
Independent Game of the Month award by Indie game review
website Game Tunnel (www.gametunnel.com).
Game Tunnel's Independent Game of the Month award is handed
out to the top game each month as determined by their panel
of industry veterans in the monthly Independent Game
Round-Up. In picking Titan Attacks, the four panel members
had lots of praise for the game. Panel member Russell Carroll
stated "At it's best Titan Attacks pure retro goodness heaped
on so high that you'll wonder how anyone could have put
together everything in such a cool package. The game is
honestly just shy of perfect and at such a low price is
something that every gamer should immediately put into their
home library."
Titan Attacks, available for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux,
packs a unique punch into classic arcade action gameplay.
Players control a spaceship in a fight to save the Earth from
aliens from the planet Titan who horde along the top of the
screen and launch ceaseless attacks against the mercenary
space ship that the player controls. Along the way players
will stop at various war-torn planets, beating back the
aliens each step of the way with upgraded weapons including
extra cannons, rockets and lasers purchased with the bounty
money from eradicating the aliens.
Titan Attacks can be downloaded now from the Puppy Games
website (www.puppygames.net).
