Tira Wireless Streamlines End-to-End Content Deployment for Multiple Mobile Media Types with New Release of Tira Jump
Tira Jump v3 Provides Single Solution for Managing the Process of Deploying Mobile Java, BREW, Ringtones and Wallpaper Content and Related Marketing Assets
SAN MATEO-July 17, 2006-Tira Wireless, the premier provider of advanced technology for mobile content deployment, today announced Tira Jump Version 3. The latest release of Tira's flagship product extends support for mobile content beyond applications to other media types, such as ringtones and wallpapers. New features for deployment planning and direct to operator mobile asset submission are also included.
With Tira Jump v3, mobile content providers can manage the complete deployment lifecycle for multiple types of Java and BREW content, as well as ringtones and wallpapers - from deployment planning to the direct delivery of certified content to an operator's deck - all from a single platform. It provides content providers with even tighter control over the end-to-end deployment process, enabling them to achieve greater efficiencies by speeding time to market and reducing the total cost of delivering quality content to global markets.
"Effectively managing the deployment of numerous mobile content types is an increasingly complex process, especially when disparate silos of technology are used to support individual steps in the deployment lifecycle," said Doug Barre, CEO of Tira Wireless. "With the latest release of Tira Jump, content providers now have the power to manage the entire deployment process with a single solution. With greater visibility and control over each step in the deployment process, mobile content providers, regardless of size or reach, can effectively manage brands and assets to maximize revenues and support global marketing initiatives."
Support for Multiple Media Types
Tira Jump v3 adds support for the planning, adaptation, asset management, quality assurance and delivery of ringtones and wallpapers and related marketing assets such as text descriptions, screenshots and .avi demonstration files. The Jump Media Desktop supports the rapid adaptation of these content types for multiple handsets by leveraging Tira's extensive device and operator knowledge base. For the first time, mobile content providers will be able to manage the end-to-end deployment of Java and BREW games and applications, ringtones and wallpapers using a single system that eliminates the need for silo applications, and introduces efficiencies into the deployment process.
"Publishers face enormous challenges in managing their mobile content. There have been very limited alternatives to dealing with the mixed bag of unproven systems and error-prone manual processes," said John Greiner, President and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. "Tira Wireless has built a solid reputation of incorporating in-depth and experiential industry knowledge into their product offerings, with Tira Jump being a prime example. By providing an extension that now addresses these major challenges and enables all mobile content to be effectively managed from a single, centralized platform, Tira simplifies the entire planning and content deployment process and provides a measurable return on investment for the publisher."
Simplified Content Delivery to Operators
In addition to providing critical intelligence on each operator's submission and packaging requirements, Tira's latest offering also enables content delivery to mobile operators through direct integration with service or content delivery platforms. Tira Jump will initially support direct content submission to mobile operators that use content delivery solutions provided by companies such as Mobilitec and Motricity.
"Content delivery to operators is further simplified by automating the collection, preparation and submission of mobile assets and supporting materials," said Barre. "This eliminates errors, omissions and other issues that result in delays in getting content to market."
Tira Jump v3 Benefits
Reduced Total Cost of Deployment: Simplified asset planning, preparation and delivery accelerate time to market and reduce deployment costs. Built-in Mobile Expertise: Tira offers an experiential operator and device knowledgebase, built on years of hands-on experience working with different devices and operators. This eliminates the time and effort required to collect, filter and maintain the knowledge that is so crucial to the deployment process, and provides both new entrants and market leaders with a competitive advantage. More than 1,000 devices have been profiled by Tira Wireless and added to the Tira Jump Knowledgebase, which currently has a library of thousands of device idiosyncrasies and workarounds, and information on channel packaging requirements. Enhanced Visibility: Deployment status and tracking is built-in to Tira Jump, enabling mobile content providers to access a complete payload history and tracking that identifies which content has been submitted to operators and when. Content deployment status tracks deployable assets as they move through an operator's processes, from the point of delivery to when they are live on deck. Seamless Integration: Tira Jump adaptation consoles are tightly integrated with the Tira Jump Workflow Manager, enabling developers to achieve a single view for task assignment through to completion. Security: Tira Jump offers a centralized and secure asset repository for easy access to mobile content and related assets.About Tira Wireless
