Tira Wireless Expands Customer Roster in Asia with Jump Games
Jump Software Platform Provides Reliance BIG Entertainment's Jump Games with Time to Market and Cost Advantages; Helps Retain Key Intellectual Property in a Dynamic Labor Market
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.-March 19, 2008 - Tira Wireless today announced that Jump Games, a mobile games publisher based out of India, has licensed the Tira Jump platform. Through a combination of technology and in-depth device and operator knowledge, Tira Jump 2008 enables Jump Games to plan and execute mobile content deployments for global markets.
Jump Games was looking for a cost effective way to expand its reach globally. The Tira Jump platform provides Jump Games with extensive knowledge on the vast differences in more than 1,250 devices offered across more than 200 distribution channels; along with the tools to streamline all facets of the mobile application development and deployment process.
"Tira Jump provides us with a tremendous opportunity to break into new markets in a highly productive fashion - it enables us to significantly boost our time to market while lowering the cost of doing so," said Salil Bhargava, CEO, Jump Games. "Some of the porting and deployment work that previously took days to finish is now being done in a matter of hours with Tira Jump."
Tira Jump also insulates Jump Games from the high rate of attrition typical in development organizations in mobile gaming. Since intellectual property and proprietary information often lies in the minds of developers, much of that knowledge is lost when employees move on to new opportunities. Tira Jump, however, utilizes Jumplets, which are customizable, encapsulated components that enable Jump Games to capture and leverage its development team's collective brainpower in perpetuity. By providing the ability to submit, version and retrieve Jumplets from a shared and searchable component repository, best practices and other proprietary knowledge is always available to existing and new developers on the Jump Games team.
"Jump Games is aggressively looking at leaving its mark on the global mobile market, and we are pleased to be adding them as another sizeable user of the Tira Jump platform," said Juan Dewar, CEO at Tira Wireless. "By using the Tira Jump platform, the company now has ready access to all the tools and knowledge it needs to succeed globally."
Jump Games will be using Tira Jump to bring to market a host of new games in 2008. These titles will be offered by more than 80 network providers across 40 countries globally. The publisher's current roster of titles includes games based on popular names like BMX Stunt Teams and Virgin Comics. Jump Games is also India's first gaming company to launch the pay-per-play model in Europe.
Tira Jump 2008 Streamlines Mobile Application Development and Deployment The Tira Jump platform includes the Jump Developer Desktop that enables Jump Games engineers to port and optimize mobile games. Its easy-to-use interface provides access to all the powerful transformation utilities of the Tira Jump platform. The desktop leverages the latest libraries of device and operator knowledge to generate versions of mobile applications optimized for target devices.
The Tira Jump platform also includes the Jump Deployment Manager, a hosted application that includes modules for deployment planning, task management, content delivery, asset management, and deployment status. It enables Jump Games project managers and producers to build deployment plans, assign tasks and manage the process from start to finish. It also tracks an ongoing history of assets submissions.
