Tim Woodley elected as new UKIE chair

Samantha Ebelthite of EA appointed as new vice chair and Liz Fitzgerald of Sony re-elected as treasurer

Video games industry trade body UKIE announced today that Tim Woodley was elected at its new chair.

Woodley serves as head of publishing at Hello Games, and replaces Stu Dinsey at the head of the UKIE board. Dinsey stepped down from the position at the end of his term.

Additional appointments at UKIE were also announced such as Samantha Ebelthite, commercial marketing director at EA being named as new vice chair.

Liz Fitzgerald, director of finance and operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment, was re-appointed as treasurer.

"Once again, it's great to see that the industry has elected such a diverse and experienced board to represent it," said UKIE CEO Dr Jo Twist OBE.

"The team at UKIE strives at all times to do its best to support the entire UK games industry, but having the backing of such a wide range of industry voices and perspectives makes our job easier."
