Tiger Telematics(R) Goes on Record Following Trading Activity
Jacksonville, 4th April 2005 - Tiger Telematics Inc. (other OTC, TGTL), went on record today to state that the Company is not aware of any reason for the recent share price volatility of its stock, as plans are moving forward as anticipated for the Gizmondo multi-entertainment device.
Additionally, the Company has completed the development of the Gizmondo and is soon to confirm additional streetdates for its product across mainland European and North America, following the successful opening of its first-of-many flagship stores.
As noted in the recent SEC filing (available to view at www.sec.gov with the unconditional opinions given by its auditors), the Company has expensed all of the costs of developing the Gizmondo in 2004 and early 2005. Product is now on shelves in the UK and is selling through at an expected pace, with funding in place for the pan-European launches to be detailed in full over the coming weeks.
Carl Freer, Co-founder and Chairman of Tiger Telematics, said: "Based on a review of the recent share price volatility, this could be attributed to a combination of market conditions. However, the trading patterns seem artificial in light of the recent announcements regarding our launch progress and success."
The Gizmondo is powered by Microsoft Windows CE advanced real-time operating system, boasting a 2.8-inch TFT colour screen with a Samsung ARM9 400Mhz processor and incorporates the GoForce 3D 4500 NVIDIA graphics accelerator. It provides cutting-edge gaming, multimedia messaging, an MP3 music player, Mpeg4 movie playing capability, a digital camera and a GPRS network link to allow wide-area network gaming. Additionally, it contains a GPS chip for location-based services, is equipped with Bluetooth for use in multi-player gaming and accepts SD and MMC card accessories.
The Gizmondo device and its games are in retail stores now in the UK, and in North American and Continental Europe markets from Spring 2005.
