Tiga tax relief campaign

UK developer delegation visits the Treasury, who probably haven't got much else to do this week.

Immediate release

18th September 2008

Tiga today led a delegation of key games developers to the Treasury to advance the case for video games tax relief. The delegation included representatives from Blitz Games Studios, Rebellion, Reflections, Team 17 and Tiga.

Richard Wilson, CEO of Tiga, said:

“Our industry expects, our employees deserve and the arguments justify an examination by the Government of the case for a tax break for UK games production.

“Tiga’s vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business. The UK video games industry is already world class. A tax break for UK games production will put the industry on a more level playing field vis-a-vis our competitors. We welcome the opportunity to engage with HM Treasury.”
