TIGA 2007 winners announced

TIGA, The Independent Game Developers Association, has announced the winners of its annual awards given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the development community

TIGA, The Independent Game Developers Association, has announced the winners of its annual awards given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the development community.

The awards, voted by and won by TIGA members, were presented at a ceremony in London.

"The European development community represents some of the best talent in the world," said outgoing TIGA CEO Fred Hasson. "The awards presented last night are treasured by the winners as they are voted by and presented by their peers."

The 2007 TIGA winners were as follows:

Best PC/Console Game developed by a TIGA member:
Colin McRae: DiRT

Best Handheld/Console Game developed by a TIGA member:
Geometry Wars: Galaxies

Best Mobile Game developed by a TIGA member:
Tomb Raider Anniversary

Best Technology 2007:
Codemasters' EGO Engine

Best Cross Media Application of Games 2007:
Audiomotion

Best Developer:
Denki

Best Player:
Fred Hasson
