Regensburg, November 13, 2009 — CipSoft published the very first screenshots for the new high resolution iPhone client. The release is planned for Q1 2010.

As already announced earlier this year, CipSoft is developing an iPhone client for its mobile MMORPG called TibiaME. In addition, a new high resolution version of the game itself is being developed at the moment. Now, first screenshots have been released.

In the near future, TibiaME will offer 3 different clients, a Symbian Series60 client, a J2ME client and an iPhone client. All Series60 v3 clients and the iPhone client will be able to display the high resolution version TibiaME. In addition, both the Series60 v5 and the iPhone client will offer full touch screen support.

TibiaME is the first MMORPG for mobile phones worldwide. It has been online since 2003 and has currently about 50,000 active players. At the moment, TibiaME can only be played with a Symbian or Java client. “We already planned to create a new client in order to fully support devices with bigger screen resolutions,” says Benjamin Zuckerer, product manager for TibiaME. “The decision to consequently develop a high resolution version with touch screen support had basically been a no-brainer,” Zuckerer admits.

The iPhone client will be distributed for free in the AppStore.

CipSoft plans the release of both the high-resolution and the iPhone client for the first quarter of 2010.
