Three Titles In 3D: Bandai Engages Mobile Game Players With Karate Spirits 3D, Blade Slayer & Brunswick Billiard Challenge

Players are Drawn In by Realistic, High Quality Graphics and Fluid Character Animations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CYPRESS, Calif. - Sept. 6, 2006 - Bandai America, Inc. has launched its first three games in a long list of eye-popping 3D titles for the mobile game platform. The titles include the ultimate fight game contests in Karate Spirits 3D and Blade Slayer in addition to Brunswick Billiard Challenge, based on one of the most well known brands in billiards.

Karate Spirits 3D has already received the distinguished "Editor's Award" from Wireless Gaming World (wgworld.com) in an early review.

"Our first three 3D titles in our mobile game catalog really take advantage of the technologies in the advanced mobile handsets," said Masao Ohata, vice president of Network Entertainment for Bandai, America Inc. "In addition to our line-up of games that run on almost any level of handset, we now offer gamers a chance to really maximize what their high-end phones offer in terms of graphics and movement with these titles."

Karate Spirits 3D is one of the cornerstone titles in Bandai's line-up of top-quality titles because of the way it delivers well-balanced, customizable fighters that perform a whole arsenal of attack moves and strike styles. Chain and combination moves are limited only by the player's imagination and proficiency with each character as they advance through the various levels in the game. Each player will be able to attain higher levels of attacks by ascending belt ranks. The objective of Karate Spirits 3D is to complete all of the offered game modes that lead to becoming a master in a certain fighting style.

The development team behind Karate Spirits 3D hails from arcade and console game development expertise, and was dedicated to establishing a new level quality for 3D fighting games for the mobile platform.

The first thing players will notice about Bandai's Blade Slayer is the fluidity of the character animations and the agility with which they execute every move. Each character in the game can perform more than a dozen fight combinations using unique weapons and special attacks. Players are challenged with creating multiple fight and attack combinations on the fly, while enjoying multi-angle 3D cut scenes and vivid 2D visuals to create a never-before-seen mobile gaming landscape.

The Brunswick brand is by far the most recognizable and respected name in billiards and other quality sports products, and Brunswick Billiard Challenge marks their first foray into branded mobile games. Brunswick Billiard Challenge offers players a number of dazzling 3D backdrops and models and an intuitive shot set-up mode that allows players to adjust overall aim of the shot and cue angle and height for adjusting spin. The camera view is fully customizable, giving the player the chance to see any shot from any angle, and a dedicated physics engine for ball and cushion behaviors reveal super-detailed replicas of corner and side-pocket characteristics.
