THQ wireless licenses Tira Jump Product Suite

Extended partnership to encompass full suite of mobile products

Tira has announced a new licensing deal with existing partner THQ Wireless which will see the publisher's full portfolio of mobile games deployed using the Jump Product Suite.

Tira's proprietary technology has already been licensed by a high number of top-tier mobile publishers including Disney Mobile Studios, Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures Mobile and, most recently, Pixiem.

"THQ Wireless is a true leader in the mobile entertainment space and we are excited to expand our lengthy and productive relationship," said Matt Golden, vice president of business development and co-founder of Tira Wireless.

"We are extremely pleased to be chosen by THQ Wireless as a trusted partner in enabling their very demanding and complex set of deployment processes."

The Jump Product Suite enables mobile content providers to deploy products across 500 different handsets in multiple languages and is designed to provide a fast, cost efficient platform for the creation of mobile games. The company recently announced several improvements and additional features for the product suite, including support for BREW applications and an integrated reporting tool, which enables project managers to establish a quick overview of the status of any project.

VP of product development for THQ Wireless Gary Kanazawa said: "As a company, we have been focused on in-house managed porting solutions and by extending our relationship with Tira and using the Tira Jump Product Suite, we are taking one more significant step along this road."

THQ Wireless continues to develop a strong portfolio of mobile products, building on its console brands and converting TV and entertainment franchises such as Star Wars and SpongeBob Square Pants. The company also publishes a number of information services based on popular sports brands such as the NFL, NHL and NBA.
