THQ Wireless announces new deal with Fishlabs

Publisher to bring new 3D titles to mobiles

THQ Wireless has signed a new agreement with Hamburg-based game developer Fishlabs to bring a range of new 3D titles to mobile phones.

The first titles to be released as part of the agreement will be Cloud Commander, an aerial combat game, and Speed Spirit, a 3D racer which will allow players to post their rankings online. They will also be able to download other players' "ghosts" and race against them. Both games are powered by 3D engine Abyss and are due out later this year.

"Working with Fishlabs, a premiere developer of 3D games, further illustrates THQ Wireless' commitment to offer innovative wireless content and create new value through interactive communities," said Adam Comiskey, general manager for THQ Wireless.

Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade added: " The combination of Fishlabs' innovative 3D game engine Abyss and game portfolio and THQ Wireless's strengths in marketing and distribution will enable wireless gamers to play premium 3D games with and against each other, on a truly global basis."
