THQ To Host First Ever European Superstar Challenge

Videogame Tournament To Feature Top WWE® Superstars

London 18 October 2005, THQ (UK) Ltd, a subsidiary of THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI), today announced its first ever THQ European Superstar Challenge. The videogame competition, featuring top WWE Superstar talent, is scheduled to take place in Manchester on 17th November 2005.

WWE Raw® Superstars will go head to head in the virtual world of WWE SmackDown® vs. RAW 2006, THQ's much-anticipated release for the Playstation®2 computer entertainment system and PlayStation® Portable (PSP) handheld entertainment system. This no-holds-barred competition will test whether the Superstars have what it takes to be king of the gaming ring as they compete in a one-on-one knock out tournament to take home the first THQ European Superstar Challenge title.

The THQ European Superstar Challenge will be an exclusive event for WWE fans., allowing them to get closer to their idols than ever before. This is one event not to be missed!

Tickets for the inaugural event will be available exclusively through promotions with THQ's selected media partners. In addition, several top prizes will be distributed, giving winners the chance to meet their WWE idols and enjoy the experience of a WWE live event.

THQ European Superstar Challenge

The THQ European Superstar Challenge (ESC) is scheduled to take place at Paparazzi, Manchester during the afternoon of 17th November. The event is already being billed as a highlight of WWE fans' calendars. World famous Superstars from WWE's RAW will be playing as their virtual characters in THQ's WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW! 2006 video game in a knockout tournament. Tickets for this event will only be available from competitions placed in conjunction with THQ. The event is strictly for those aged 16 and above.
