THQ teams up with talent agency to Destroy All Humans

THQ has appointed LA-based firm United Talent Agency to develop motion picture and television projects based on the Destroy All Humans! videogame franchise.

The PS2 and Xbox title, which launched in Europe last month, sees gamers playing as alien invaders waging war on planet Earth. Inspired by 1950s Americana, the game features a variety of open-ended environments which players can explore as they attempt to harvest human DNA and thereby save the alien race from extinction.

"The era, characters and irreverent personality created in Destroy All Humans! provide a fresh experience and story that is truly dynamic," said THQ marketing executive Peter Dille.

"We're looking forward to working hand-in-hand with UTA to bring this exciting and innovative entertainment property to a broader audience."

UTA's Brent Weinstein commented: "THQ's impressive track record of innovating mass-appeal gaming content speaks for itself."

"We see great potential for crossing the DAH! property across all relevant entertainment platforms, and we anticipate high interest among the creative and marketing communities alike."

UTA is one of the largest agencies in the entertainment industry, with a client list that includes actors Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey and Harrison Ford. The agency also represents film-makers M. Night Shyamalan, the Coen brothers and Wes Anderson, along with corporate brands such as Amazon.com.
