THQ now holds Homeworld rights

THQ has confirmed to our sister site Eurogamer.net that it now has the rights to the Homeworld brand

THQ has confirmed to our sister site Eurogamer.net that it now has the rights to the Homeworld brand.

"THQ currently owns Relic, which in turn means that we now have the rights to the Homeworld brand," a spokesperson for THQ said.

"However, at this time we have no comment on any future games from THQ based on Homeworld," added the spokesperson.

THQ acquired developer Relic Entertainment back in 2004, which has since released the critically acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes series of games.

Previous Homeworld real-time strategy games were published by Sierra Entertainment.
