Struggling Atari recently also sold the rights to Sabre Interactive's Xbox title Timeshift. The publisher said in a statement today that offing Stuntman and Timeshift from its roster had raised USD 13 million, but made no comment on cash raised from the Paradigm sale.
THQ issued a press release on the matter today saying it had acquired Stuntman 2 and "exercised" rights to buy Paradigm. It expects the deal to close in the "coming weeks".
"The concept of pulling off the incredible driving feats of Hollywood stuntmen is a natural fit for action and racing game fans alike," said Kelly Flock, THQ executive vice president of worldwide publishing. "Stuntman is a great complement to our growing stable of original content targeting the core gamer on next-generation systems."
