THQ has announced the appointment of Danny Bilson and Roy Tessler to the newly-created product development positions

THQ has announced the appointment of Danny Bilson and Roy Tessler to the newly-created product development positions.

The new positions will help the company drive new IP creation and product quality initiatives inside the company's studios.

"We have built a tremendous studio system to support our strategy of creating new franchises based on owned intellectual properties," said Jack Sorensen, executive vice president, worldwide studios.

"With the addition of Danny and Roy, we are significantly enhancing our studio management infrastructure. Roy's strong project management experience will heighten our focus on our production processes, while Danny brings a wealth of creative experience that will be brought to bear on the production values of our titles."

Danny Bilson, named THQ's creative development VP, worldwide studios, has more than 20 years of writing, directing and creative development experience in videogames, film, television and comic books. He played a key creative role in The Sims, Medal of Honour and Harry Potter franchises as a VP at EA's worldwide studios.

Roy Tessler, named THQ's production VP, worldwide studios, previously worked as the general manager and co-founder of the company's Studio Australia. He also served as general manager of Rainbow Studios, developers of MX vs. ATV Untamed and Cars 2: Mater-National.
