THQ adds five to Nickelodeon line-up for 2005

Publisher THQ has announced five new kids titles in its line-up, bringing to seven the number of games based on Nickelodeon properties which the company is planning to publish in 2005.

A new SpongeBob SquarePants title leads the new range, with an as yet unnamed party-style game planned for every platform imaginable - including Xbox, PS2, Cube, GBA, DS, PSP and PC - and set to support four players both competitively and co-operatively.

The company is also planning a third multiplatform game in the Tak series, which will also feature co-operative play - this time for two players - along with a Danny Phantom title for GBA and a home console title based on forthcoming animated movie The Barnyard.

Finally, THQ is hoping to attract a young female audience with a GBA and PC action adventure title based on the everGirl brand, which allows players to design their own characters and set them to creating clothing and music or playing sport.

The games join the previously announced Fairly OddParents and Nicktoons games to complete the firm's announced Nickelodeon range for the coming year.
