Thirteen1 - Press Release, Hull, Saturday 13th December 2008...
Seasons Greetings from Thirteen1!
In the famous words of a Mr Noddy Holder – Iiiiiiiiiiiiit's Chriiiiiisssssssstmas!
What's a better way to unwind from the Christmas shopping madness than sitting down and reading a good, free gaming magazine? Nothing, that's what!
Here at Thirteen1 we like to do out bit, especially when it comes to providing you with top quality reviews, previews and competitions. Consider it our gift to you. You can just send ours to the usual address.
The December edition is our biggest issue yet (we seem to be doing this every month, don't we?), with more top-notch features than you can shake a proverbial stick at!
We've gotten sticky with the absolutely super World of Goo, risked our necks on the battlefield in Call of Duty – World at War, burnt some crops with Far Cry 2, cooperatively shot the hell out of zombies in Left 4 Dead and went hands-on with the beta of Perfect World, the latest localisation offering from Games Masters!
Between all of that we tackled that age old question...who would win in a fight between Superman and Sub Zero? Read our bone-crunching Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe review to finally discover the answer!
Wondering what kind of gaming goodness the new year will bring? Well wonder no more! We went hands-on with G4 Box's MMOFPS Cross Fire and SouthPeaks upcoming pyrotechnic crazy Big Bang Mini (DS) and reported our findings...just to give you a taster of what's to come.
We also...you know what...there's too much content to report in a single mail-shot!
We advise you just read the magazine and check it all out for yourself. Go-on, we'll wait here for you...still around? OK...
..How about some quality prize's to fill your Christmas stockings with!
Those fine folk over at Oxygen have donated an Xbox 360 for you to get your hands on, in conjunction with their top darts game PDC World Championship Darts 2008! More of a casual gamer? Fine, then how about a Nintendo DS, courtesy of SouthPeak along with their rather excellent Ninja Town!
Oh and there are a few other games and goodies for you get hold of too.
All of this for free? Pretty amazing if we may say so ourselves...
Ends.
