English-language demo released.

MOSCOW - March 13, 2009 - Leading Eastern and Central European publisher1C Company and Battlefront.com are excited to announce the immediate availability of the English language demo of Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943. Players who pre-order the game get both the instant download and the hardcopy with printed game manual and DVD.

The demo features an all-new full mission from the US campaign, "The Battle of Sidi Bou Zid" which takes place in early February 1943, as well as one Tutorial mission to get players acquainted with the command and control of their units.

Theatre of War 2 covers the events of 1943 during the operations in Tunisia. Players will have the option to lead the German Afrika Korps of Rommel in their last full-scale attack or be at the head of the opposing English and American armies, led by Montgomery and Eisenhower, during 15 missions in three campaigns. The game presents more than 40 types of vehicles, new units, improved graphics and sound, a new advanced visual system that considers even tiny tactical details such as observation angle and smoke screens, combat inside buildings and hand-to-hand fighting, a brand new interface, improved soldier AI and a detailed infantry damage system. Special attention is being devoted to multiplayer and user created missions.

MSRP for Theatre of War 2 is $45.00, however customers who have already purchased the first game, Theatre of War, from www.battlefront.com can save even more on their pre-order. If they have a valid license key for Theatre of War, they can pre-order Theatre of War 2 at a reduced price of $35.00 plus shipping & handling. The game will be released April 24, 2009 for download with the hard copy, including DVD and printed manual, available within 4-6 weeks.
