Brabrand, Denmark: The Game Factory today announces the launch of Garfield 2 for PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and PC CD formats, scheduled for release in September 2006.

Garfield, world famous for his laziness, lasagne-eating and sarcastic wit - makes his second videogame appearance this summer in Garfield 2: the official videogame, based on the movie which opens across the UK from July 21st.

Garfield 2 is a fun-filled action-packed adventure game, which sees everyone's favourite feline get himself on a plane to London by sneaking into Jon's luggage! In a case of mistaken identity, Garfield finds himself at Carlyle Castle, where the animals of the castle believe Garfield is the new lord of the estate. While enjoying his stay and taking advantage of the free food (as only Garfield can!), he discovers there is a problem: the real lord of the castle, Prince, has been kidnapped by the evil Lord Dargis. Garfield soon discovers Dargis's secret plans and convinces the castle animals to rebel against him.

Appealing to gamers of all ages, but specifically boys and girls aged 7-12, players will be able to explore exciting scenes from the movie as well as:

· Three playable characters: Garfield, Christophe the goose, or Claudius the mouse

· Explore ten different areas of the castle, each with its own exciting mission

· Battle through eight missions in each environment; with more missions and moves accessible as the player progresses through the game

· Complete challenges to, for example, collect important items, fight opponents, solves puzzles, fly and race

· Help Garfield dance to the rhythm in the fun tempo missions

· Enjoy Garfield's sarcastic sense of humour as he uses his new abilities, including incredible new fighting technique based on rhythm and music!

· Progress through various difficulty levels depending on age and skill levels

In 2004, Garfield made his debut on the big screen, and "Garfield:The Movie" became a $200 million international box office success.
