The Masters are at work at E3!
Mastertronic exhibiting at E3, UK Pavillion
E3, the world's largest trade show for the computer games
industry will be taking place on 9th-11th May at the Los
Angeles convention centre. Mastertronic will once again be
exhibiting at E3 and will be taking their place in the UK
pavilion - Booth 2228, in the West Hall.
Mastertronic Games, have partnered with Disky, part of the
Hermans group, to launch PS2 console value label, Blast!
which will be aimed at the children's market. All products
will be fully licensed and many of the key releases will be
using child centric properties from the major Hollywood film
studios, as well as licensed properties from more local
sources. There are 16 releases planned for 2006, with the
first instalment in July and a further 20 titles to follow
next year. Games will retail at the impulse price point of
£9.99/14.95. Sean Brennan, CEO of Blast! Entertainment
will be available for meetings with new developers and
licensors and will be looking for a North American
distribution partner.
The Mastertronic Group owns leading European value publisher
Mastertronic Games which incorporates key retail brands
M.A.D. (Mastertronic Added Dimension), Sold Out (the UK's
largest-selling budget operation) and PC Gamer Presents (a
unique quality-assured brand in association with the leading
games magazine publisher Future Publishing).
There are some exciting titles lined up for the Sold Out
label for Q3 and Q4 including Colin McRae Rally 04, Tom
Clancy's Rainbow six, Commando's 3 and Worms 3D which will
retail at the value price of £4.99. Championship Manager 5,
Conflict Global Storm and Total overdose make a debut in the
value sector, retailing at £9.99. These titles will appear on
the Group's M.A.D. label, which is reserved exclusively for
titles that have sold over 100,000 units. Further titles are
planned for the Group's PC Gamer Presents label, where the
criteria for acceptance is a review score of 80% or above in
the magazine, and which also retail at £9.99. Harley
Homewood, Sales Executive for Mastertronic Games will be
available for meetings with UK retailers and
publishers.
