The Last Man Standing Goes Live!
Bristol, England 4th March 2005: Today Xequted is pleased to announce the official re-launch of The Last Man Standing tournament system (http://www.thelastmanstanding.co.uk), kicking off the launch of the system today with a 96 player Halo 2 tournament with some great prizes up for grabs supplied generously by Microsoft Game Studios, including Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf, Project Zero, Dead or Alive: Ultimate and Halo 2 for a friend!
The Last Man Standing first started back in August 2004, with the world's leading publishers providing the development team with overwhelming support for the tournament system. The original system has now been improved and built upon to include access to the Xequted website, community forums and to create invaluable experience for the community. The tournament system also allows for much needed customisation and expansion past single player tournaments for the future, providing games with a longer competitive lifetime.
The Last Man Standing and Xequted teams combined forces just under a year ago to create a real community and provide a dedicated resource for competitive online gaming within the UK bringing e-sports even more into the mainstream.
The Last Man Standing provides a distinctive array of tournaments planned for the next three months with one major tournament per week from a variety of titles. These weekly tournaments will be hosted on a Sunday evening with smaller tournaments hosted throughout the week on many other titles, providing a number of alternatives and more interesting gameplay modes too!
"I' am delighted with Xequted's technical department, the sheer scale of the Last Man Standing tournament project was a massive concept from the start and the team has shown a dedicated commitment to providing the very best online competitive game based system for the gamer, player and most importantly the customer" said Luke Newcombe, Head of Communications Xequted. "Following on from the success of the Sundance 2005 Festival, when Xequted and Senet Entertainment proved hobbits played video games event Sponsorship now available, contact us for more details!"
