THE BROKEN KINGDOMS MMO LAUNCHES FIRST FULL LENGTH ADVENTURES
Darren Reid’s The Half Broken Crown: The Broken Kingdoms, a Browser Based MMO Adventure Launches its First Full Length Adventures
NextGenBooks.com along with bestselling author Darren Reid today released the first full length quest for browser based point and click adventure The Broken Kingdoms. The Tavra City Quest sets players amid a ruined city in an attempt to find and steal the lost histories for the despotic Lord Graceland. Like all quests and adventures in The Broken Kingdoms this latest episode does not use combat and is instead based entirely around puzzle solving using the game's point and click interface.
The Broken Kingdoms launched a special preview on June 17th and has since drawn thousands of gamers to its world including many using their consoles (Wii or PS3) or handhelds (PSP and DS) to play the game via their browsers. The first adventure had been scheduled to launch on June 24th but last minute play testing required this date to be pushed back to June 27th. Throughout the rest of this week several additional features are scheduled to go live including a new community area that will feature in-game forums allowing players to create characters, profiles and to role play.
The Broken Kingdoms has been designed as a "casual" MMO allowing players with little to no experience in online multiplayer gaming to easily become apart of the game world. The point and click dynamic is simple and intuitive and the game's staff will be on hand, in-game, to offer advice to anyone struggling with the first quest. The chat features in the game also cross formats meaning that gamers playing on a PC can communicate with those using their consoles or handhelds. The only exception to this rule is the Nintendo DS which, owing to technical restrictions, will have its community features added at a later date.
The next adventure update for The Broken Kingdoms has been tentatively set on July 25th when two more new and exclusive adventures are due to launch. For more information or to play The Broken Kingdoms please visit
