THE 4th EDITION OF THE ELECTRONIC SPORTS WORLD CUP FROM 27th JUNE TO 2nd JULY 2006 IN PARIS - BERCY

The Grand Final of the 4th Electronic Sports World Cup will be held from Tuesday 27th June to Sunday 2nd July 2006 in Paris. 800 champions from all around the world will challenge each other in different disciplines (PC and console - announced soon) with more than 400,000 dollars prize money to share among the winners. All of them will have won their place by taking part in their national qualifying competitions, organized in more than 50 countries. All the Finals will be staged in The Palais Omnisports of Paris Bercy, one of the main indoor sporting Arena of the Europe, with more than 40,000 spectators expected.
Become these last years the worldwide first leisure of 15/35 the years old, the video game asserts itself definitively as a sport and a show by bringing together its biggest champions in The Palais Omnisports of Paris-Bercy for the Grand Finale of the Electronic Sports World Cup. Last July, the 2005 Edition had attracted 24,000 visitors in the prestigious setting of the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris and more than 400,000 live spectators on Internet. Real global phenomenon, the event has already generated all over the world about 120 hours of television broadcast and more than 1 million articles in all kind of media.
