TGC at GC
German publisher's Leipzig presence to include a London taxi, a DJ and - clinching our vote - snacks.
Berlin, July 29, 2008. TGC will be represented more prominently than ever before at the Leipzig trade fair when the Games Convention opens its gates to an international audience of professionals from August 20 to 24. Now in its third year at the GC the publisher from Berlin is celebrating its largest exhibition ever at the Leipzig trade fair in the history of the company. Covering an area of more than 200m², TGC from Berlin will be presenting several world premieres as well as two secret projects that have not yet been specified in detail. The specialist press and business partners will be examining the latest projects of TGC "behind closed doors" at the business center while consumers will be allowed to personally test selected highlights in the consumer area. TGC will announce the final line-up for the Games Convention 2008 shortly in a separate announcement.
The expanding publisher and retail, marketing and media partner awaits you at booth E61 in hall 2 for inspiring talks and exciting product presentations. The business development team will be on the lookout for innovative, trendsetting projects for TGC's future line-up by attending meetings with visitors from the domestic and international developer scene. TGC's sales department will also be traveling to Leipzig to further develop and expand the company's worldwide network of partners.
Final consumers, on the other hand, will be able to learn about the varied line-up of TGC in hall 5. An original London Taxi at booth A01 will welcome trade fair visitors where they can enjoy testing playable versions of TGC's upcoming titles from comfortable seats. With its high-end equipment the cab offers passengers the ultimate gaming experience: excellent acoustics are provided by a powerful Dolby Digital Surround system from Alpine, with 12-inch subwoofers that are guaranteed to stall your breath. The TGC games will be viewable in spectacular, HD quality visuals on a flat screen. There will also be several Nintendo DS™ ready for use where interested visitors can thoroughly test upcoming handheld products. A lounge area with a professional DJ will complete the exhibition in the consumer section. In addition, the TGC promotion team will be serving snacks and cool refreshments to the guests as well as hosting competitions with valuable hardware prizes.
"I am delighted that TGC will be represented so prominently at one of the most important industry events of the year. In its third year at the GC, TGC was able to further expand its presence at the trade fair and, for the first time, can offer a booth in the consumer halls as well as a large B2B section," says Christian Sauerteig, Marketing Director of TGC. "The Games Convention provides the ideal platform to further establish TGC as an expanding, international multiplatform publisher and to present our high-quality line-up in an appropriate context."
