Tapjoy seeking buyers - report

Zynga, GREE and DeNA all possible candidates to snap up e-commerce company

Reports are circulating that casual e-commerce company Tapjoy is currently looking for buyers, with Zynga, GREE and DeNA all possible candidates.

Tapjoy CEO Mihir Shah refused to confirm or deny the rumours.

"I can't comment on rumours or speculation," he told Inside Social Games.

He added, "We're at a level of scale and the market opportunity is so large and we're so clearly in the lead that there isn't really any direct viable competitor. We just continue to be focused on building this ridiculously exciting business."

The site points out that in July the company appointed a new CFO in the form of Al Wood, who has already overseen two initial public offerings with previous companies.

"Al's expertise overseeing high-growth technology companies, combined with the leadership he's demonstrated throughout his career will be invaluable to Tapjoy as the company continues its upward trajectory," said Shah at the time.

Tapjoy was founded in 2007 in San Francisco, and provides magnetisation support, publishing through Tapjoy Publishing and produces free mobile games.
