Synergenix brings Total Overdose to mobiles

Eidos' console carnage gets converted for Gringos on the go

Furthering the growing trend for converting major console titles to the mobile platform, Kayak Interactive's European subsidiary Synergenix proudly announces the imminent release of Total Overdose.

Released this month on Xbox and PS2, the game puts players in the boots of an escaped convict hunting down the perpetrators of his father's untimely death, and features a heady cocktail of gangs and guns in the gritty Mexican criminal underworld. Voted the 'Sleeper Hit of the Show' at this year's E3 Entertainment Expo, Total Overdose was also a runner up for the 'Best Xbox Game' award.

The mobile version has been developed by Impressionware and will be available for all Java handsets through retail chains, portals and major network operators in October.

Martin Forsling, the Chief Executive Officer of Synergenix, said, "Total Overdose brings a totally new experience to mobile gamers, the blend of fast-paced action, dark humour and intense gameplay adds a whole new dimension to the title and creates something entirely unique. We're delighted to be working with Eidos to bring such an exciting title to market."

Mobile users have been promised the same intense gameplay as the console hit, with four unique environments, plenty of vehicles and guns, and a slow-motion feature which enables players to perform special stunts while killing enemies.

Fabien Rossini, Senior Brand Manager at Eidos said, "The response to Total Overdose has been awesome, it offers something quite different to other games and is a breath of fresh air in today's market. Synergenix and Impressionware have done an incredible job in keeping the feel of the game in its transition to mobile."

Founded in 2003 by veteran gamers, Impressionware is responsible for the mobile conversion of a number of key console gaming brands, in addition to an extensive portfolio of original and licensed IP.

Synergenix is the European subsidiary of Kayak Interactive and together the companies have a worldwide distribution channel with more than sixty carriers and portals.
