order to win all seven of your tournament matches. Achieve victory in these and your fighting skills will be tested to the max in an eighth match against Seth, the end boss of the game. For the truly great fighters among you...fulfil certain special conditions and you’ll be rewarded with two additional battles to compete in, which can be fought after Seth - this time against Akuma and Gouken.

During combat, your aim is to deplete the energy bar of your adversary in order to win the match. Every attack you manage to land on your opponent charges a Super Gauge that, when full, enables you to perform a Super Combo attack and players can also utilise a Revenge Gauge. Landing an attack may damage your opponent and charge your Super Gauge, but doing so also charges their Revenge Gauge which, when full, enables your rival to perform an extra powerful Ultra Combo against you. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

To aid players in their bid for victory, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition also enables users to assign shortcuts for hard to execute moves on the Nintendo 3DS Touch Screen. Choose from two control schemes, LITE in order to pull off massive combos with the touch of a finger – a useful tool for players new to the Street Fighter series. Or try PRO mode, where all the combos have to be executed the hardcore way, but you will have 4 more buttons to assign them to – useful for experienced players.

Players already familiar with the franchise will welcome the ability to choose from 35 playable characters. Ranging from classic world warriors like Ryu, Ken, Guile and Chun-Li, Hakan and Juri.

Juri is a taekwondo fighter whose father was killed by M. Bison. She joins S.I.N., Bison’s evil crime syndicate, where Seth creates the bionic eye that gives her special powers. Juri plans to pit Bison against Seth, hoping in their mutual destruction and her revenge.

Hakan is the president of the world's leading edible-oil manufacturer and a leader in Turkey's national sport of Yagli güres. He enters the S.I.N. tournament to showcase his skills and travel the world in search of inspiration for a new oil recipe.

As if all that wasn’t enough, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition also utilises the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS to the hilt, offering fully stereoscopic 3D visuals, enhanced online functionalities and a new mode, called “DYNAMIC MODE”, in which the matches are presented via an over-the-shoulder camera, producing a cinematic effect of incredible depth during battle, thanks to the stereoscopic 3D effect.

Another new introduction to the Street Fighter franchise is Figurine Mode, which employs the Nintendo 3DS StreetPass feature to add a collectible meta-game. Players collect bottle-cap figurines from the Street Fighter characters, each with various attributes (Level, Health Points, Attack power, etc.). They then select a total of five figurines from their collection, which will automatically fight other players’ five figurines via StreetPass chance encounter. Should your figurine win a StreetPass chance encounter, you’ll receive exclusive Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition in-game currency and rewards.
