Sunny Side Up marketing firm is Keywords' latest acquisition

Total consideration for purchase of Quebec-based service is CAD$5.9 million

If you thought we'd make it to the end of the year without another Keywords acquisition, you were wrong.

The latest addition to the ever-growing services empire is Sunny Side Up Creative, a Canadian marketing specialist.

Based in Quebec, the firm has provided game trailers, key art assets and motion graphic production for major developers and publishers, including Ubisoft and Electronic Arts.

It joins Keywords' raft of previously acquired marketing and art service studios which include The Trailer Farm and Fire Without Smoke.

The total consideration for the acquisition is CAD$5.9 million. CAD$4.75 million will be paid in cash on completion -- expected to be no later than January 4, 2019 -- with the rest handled through the issue of shares in Keywords.

"We are delighted to welcome... the talented Sunny Side Up team to the Keywords family," said CEO Andrew Day. "[Their] high quality game trailers, technical expertise and marketing service experience further extends the Group's geographic, client reach and scale in this relatively new and exciting area for Keywords."

And this is unlikely to be the last Keywords acquisition as the company recently told GamesIndustry.biz it has plans for more.
