SUNFLOWERS' ANNO 1701 Sets New Benchmarks for the Development of German PC Games!

Heusenstamm, 9th of May - SUNFLOWERS today announced the title for the third part of its immensely successful ANNO / A.D. series: ANNO 1701 will delight fans of the popular series at the end of 2006.

SUNFLOWERS greatly values the fan community's opinions and contributions towards the planning and realization of ANNO 1701. Based on a database of more than 70,000 registered fans, numerous surveys will help to collate and evaluate players' wishes and ideas.

"Our 70.000 registered fans are children and adults, men and women, SI and GI players. For this enormous target group, we endeavor to create the absolutely perfect ANNO game, i.e. the ANNO game our clients dream of", said Adi Boiko, SUNFLOWERS President, about the planned extensive studies.

The development budget totals 8 Million Euros. This makes ANNO 1701 one of the most expensive productions from Germany and one of the most important PC development projects in the whole of Europe.

SUNFLOWERS (Interactive Entertainment Software GmbH) is Germany's leading publisher of entertainment software. All projects are realized in close cooperation with associated development studios.

The company was founded in 1993 by Adi Boiko and Wilhelm Hamrozi with the express aim of developing outstanding computer games with an enormous fun factor for the international market.

Over four million copies of the strategy hits ANNO 1602 and ANNO 1503 have been sold so far, making them the two most successful computer games ever to come out of Germany.
