Su-do-ku Puzzle Phenomenon Comes To Mobile

Rockpool Games & Telcogames To Publish Hugely Popular Logic Puzzle

London, June 30th 2005 - Innovative wireless games developer Rockpool Games and established distributor Telcogames have joined forces to bring the hugely popular Japanese puzzle phenomenon Su-do-ku to wireless gaming on the T-Mobile Network. This week has seen the release of this challenging and addictive game with T-Mobile UK. Paul Gouge, the CEO of Rockpool Games commented "Su-do-ku has proved itself as a compelling puzzle game on other formats and we are confident it will be a great success with T-Mobile's customers in the wireless format."

If you aren't already addicted, Su-do-ku is a puzzle game which uses grids and numbers but has very little maths involved. The aim of the game is to fill in the grid so that every row, every column, and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 through to 9. To solve the puzzle all players need are logic and reasoning but like all great puzzle games this simplicity belies the compelling challenge the game offers. The time taken to complete a Su-do-ku grid is typically from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your skill and experience making Su-do-ku the perfect title for wireless gaming and perfect for people who enjoy a challenge on the go.

This intuitive puzzle game first came to light in the 1970s in an American puzzle magazine and was presented under the name, "Number Placement". It later resurfaced in a Japanese puzzle and games magazine in 1984, but it has taken Su-do-ku 20 years to reach its current levels of popularity and global recognition. Despite its age Su-do-ku is only now becoming a gaming phenomenon and with its popularity growing ever bigger each day Su-do-ku is quite literally taking the world by storm!

With the licensing of the rights and game engine from Teazel, Rockpool Games and Telcogames have now ensured that T-Mobile customers can now enjoy the fun.
