Street Gears

Park Town X-treme Festival scheduled; new track and items on the way.

Press Release

For immediate release

Launched in March 2009 at the www.gpotato.eu gaming portal, the free online in-line skating game Street Gears invites players to participate in a wide variety of new challenges from 25th May. The gPotato Europe team is proud to announce a big community challenge, the Park Town X-treme Festival, and to introduce “The Plant”, a brand new track coming to Park Town.

Players of all experience levels are invited to surpass themselves by participating in Park Town’s X-treme Festival. Over a two week period between 25th May and 7th June, a team time attack tournament and a slalom contest are taking place, with lots of in-game prizes and gPotato points up for grabs for the best racers. If racing isn’t your thing, there are two quizzes taking place, allowing players to test their sporting knowledge on the 25th May and 5th June.

The X-treme festival will also introduce a brand new tournament into Park Town. Known as “Rage”, the tournament will be running every weekend for six months, and players will be able to compete to post the best time every week. Players can win Rolly and climb the ladder to be in first place, and there are a wide range of unique and fantastic prizes at the end of this epic tournament.

Last but not least, we are proud to announce the introduction of a brand new track on May 28th. Called “The Plant”, Street Gears players who have the Special-Pro Licence will be able to race on this brand new industrial track. Packed with lots of shortcuts and other hidden passages, it requires dexterity and quick reflexes to master and offers players a new riding experience similar to the “Warehouse” track.
