Steel Monkeys signs an exclusive multi-year agreement with FOG Studios
Philadelphia, Pa - February 19, 2008 - Belarus based development studio Steel Monkeys signs an exclusive multi-year representation agreement with leading business management firm FOG Studios. Having worked on such high profile IPs as Bob the Builder and the Rocky franchise, the 70+ person development studio has taken a modest approach to exposing their studio to the outside world. Preferring to let their high quality games speak for themselves, Steel Monkeys has maintained a relatively low profile in North America until recently.
Steel Monkeys CEO Tim Dvoskin commented, "Many studios will make a lot of noise in order to draw attention to themselves in this industry, oftentimes letting people down when they release a mediocre product. We've always preferred to concentrate on making great games first and letting them speak to the sort of quality developer we've grown to be."
FOG CEO Ed Dille added, "What's funny about Tim and the rest of the group at Steel Monkeys is that, despite all of their modesty, they're about to break out in a big way. You can't stop the media machine once fans begin to anticipate something that you're working on and the recent buzz around their current project, 2 Days to Vegas is proof of that."
2 Days to Vegas was one of the most intriguing titles to be showcased at last year's GDC in San Francisco. Since that time Steel Monkeys has been relatively tight-lipped about the game in anticipation of a new unveiling at 2008's Game Developers Conference. Boasting exceptionally detailed graphics, 2 Days to Vegas is a story driven 3rd person action-adventure game. The thrill-a-minute story is crammed full of car chases, shootouts and unexpected twists to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the game. The action is set in several major cities across the USA and takes place during an intense 48 hour period. This game has it all, a gripping story of contemporary gangster life combined with thrilling car chase action and an intense race against the clock.
As indicated above Steel Monkeys will be showcasing 2 Days to Vegas at the upcoming Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
