StarCraft II LAN petition collects over 100,000 signatures
Blizzard fans take stance on the new game's support of Battle.net over LAN
An online petition set up to object to the lack of LAN support in Blizzard's upcoming StarCraft II has now collected more than 100,000 signatures.
The company confirmed the game wouldn't feature offline network play earlier this year, saying the only multiplayer options would be available over Blizzard's Battle.net service.
Gamers keen to see LAN offered as an option in the final game however were quick to make their objections to its lack of support known.
Despite the game's release having been pushed back to 2010, the game is expected to be a huge hit for Activision Blizzard, with some analysts predicting it will sell around four million in its opening quarter.
