Square-Enix unveils line-up for TGS

Host of new mobile titles set to go on show

Square-Enix has confirmed that it plans to showcase a host of games for mobile phones at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.

The line-up will include Dragon Quest Monsters and Dragon Quest: Fushigi na Dungeon, plus Front Mission 2089 and Pokemate.

Visitors to the event will also get to take a look at Seiken Densetsu - Final Fantasy Gaiden (better known as Final Fantasy I outside Japan).

Squenix has long been committed to the mobile gaming market, with instalments in both the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy series selling extremely well. Back in March, company president Daishiro Okada claimed that Squenix titles have actually helped to boost handset sales and subscription takeups.

Squenix's home console line-up for TGS will include Final Fantasy XIII for PS3, plus Xbox 360 title Project Sylpheed, Dawn of Mana for PS2, and several Nintendo DS and GBA games. The publisher has also pledged to make some brand new game announcements at the event.

The Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 22 - 24 at the Makahuri Messe in Chiba.
