Square Enix polls consumers on DS titles

While Nintendo boasts of strong third party software support for the [newly redesigned] Nintendo DS console, at least one publisher hasn't quite decided what to do with it - with Square Enix now asking consumers which of its titles they'd like to see on the platform.

The giant Japanese publisher has included a polling card with copies of Final Fantasy I + II Advance asking customers which titles, from a list of many of the company's best-loved classics, they'd like to see on the new handheld.

Included among the options are Final Fantasy 3, 4, 5 and 6, the SaGa series, Front Mission, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Mana (Seiken Densetsu) and Hanjuku Heroes - presumably indicating a fairly comprehensive shortlist of the games Square Enix is considering for the platform.

The company is also thought to be developing some original titles for the DS, and demonstrated a number of concept titles at the unveiling of the hardware at the E3 trade show in Los Angeles two months ago.
