Spot On: PSP(TM) Owners Get Free Downloads At GAME

26th July 2006 - GAME Stores Group Ltd, Europe's leading specialist video games retailer, is urging their customers to bring their PlayStation®Portable (PSP) into the Oxford Street or Milton Keynes branch from Friday 28th July 2006 to access a whole host of downloadable content for free.

PlayStation®Spot is an innovative new concept in portable entertainment that provides PSP owners with downloadable content via WLAN. And as of Friday customers will be able to download a wide variety of game demos, video content, movie trailers, music tracks, image galleries and other innovative content for free in participating GAME stores.

All customers need to do is bring their PSP in-store, look for the PlayStation®Spot logo and then select the content they want to download.

To celebrate this launch, GAME in Crown Walk, Milton Keynes will be working with Sony to produce a LocoRoco Funday. There will be a Ceramic White PSP to give away complete with software and plenty of 'Spot Staff' to guide customers through the download process.

"Through the PlayStation®Spot initiative, our PSP owning customers can gain free access to a rich collection of diverse content when they come into one of our 'spot' locations", said Anna Macario, Marketing Director for GAME. "It offers customers an opportunity to try out games before they buy them and the incentive to keep coming in-store to get the latest content and offers available for download."
